Give Back to Yourself SPOTLIGHT: Belkyra

Early winter is a popular time to undergo treatments with after effects you’d like resolved well before the holidays.

Where in the past we’ve had scarves to help hide visible side effects of healing, this year we also have masks

I find that as we begin to dress warmer, pull out the turtlenecks, and spend more time in the warmth of our cozy homes (as if we haven’t done enough of that already this year), patients begin getting in touch about treatments like Belkyra.

This nonsurgical, injectable treatment reduces or eliminates unwanted double chin fat, improving the jawline and neck contour.

A Belkyra treatment takes about 30 minutes to complete, with most patients preferring two to four treatments spaced over as many months in order to see best treatments.

And here’s some even better news: once the results are achieved, they are permanent. There’s no long-term maintenance required.

Swelling and perhaps some bruising is common in the days immediately following a Belkyra treatment – so schedule accordingly – but normal day to day activities may be resumed.

It’s a popular treatment, with which I’ve seen many effective outcomes and happy patients. And while there exists a stigma that cosmetic medicine is mainly of interest to women, Belkyra is popular among women and men alike.

Finally, don’t forget, even as the days seem greyer, dimmer, shorter, to use sunscreen. The sun’s ultraviolet rays penetrate cloud cover and our skin is still exposed even during mundane activities like driving.

Winter hibernation is no excuse for complacency when it comes to skincare, though it does present the opportunity to explore treatments we may avoid during the warmer months.

If you’ve considered Belkyra in the past but hesitated, I’m more than open to discuss your interest and any concerns with you. Give me a call. Let’s book a consultation.
